About Us

HIStory through our community

The Change Community Church is a diverse community of believers
transformed by the love of Christ. Our mission is simple: to love God, make
disciples of Jesus Christ, and change lives.

Our journey began in 2016 in a small condo in Scarborough, Ontario, where
a few passionate believers gathered weekly for Bible study and prayer.
What started as a small fellowship quickly grew into a welcoming space for
both new and seasoned Christians seeking connection and spiritual growth.

As our community grew, we received valuable oversight from Flow Without
Bounds Ministries and joined their network of house churches, helping us
build structure and expand our reach. Eventually, our condo space could no
longer accommodate the growing congregation, leading us to hold
worship services in school gyms. This growth also led to a meaningful
partnership with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ),
who played a key role in supporting our church planting journey.

From quiet prayers in a living room to vibrant worship in public spaces, God
has faithfully led us every step of the way. And through it all, we remain
committed to His calling: to love God deeply, disciple faithfully, and change
lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Meet Our Team

The church is a family — a place where people come together to belong, serve, and grow in Christ. This is reflected in our leadership, where families serve together, supporting one another in their gifts and devotion to Christ, and establishing a legacy for future generations to follow.

Eric and Bethel Hart

Eric is one of the founding pastors and currently serves as the Lead Pastor of the Change Community Church. Prior to this, he spent seven years as a Youth Pastor while completing his Bachelor of Religious Education at Tyndale University. Eric is passionate about teaching God’s Word and shepherding believers to grow in their love for Jesus.

Eric has been married to Bethel since 2012, and together they have two wonderful children—Naomi and Raphael. Bethel serves in the church by leading the children’s ministry and the worship team.

As bi-vocational ministers, Eric and Bethel faithfully balance their professional careers with their calling to serve the church.

Richard and Anna Chua

Richard and Anna, along with their son Elijah, are a devoted family committed to serving God and His church. Richard, who experienced a life-changing encounter with God eight years ago, is passionate about evangelism, healing, and deliverance.

Anna has faithfully served the Lord for eleven years and leads the church’s hospitality ministry creating an atmosphere of warmth, welcome and care for everyone she meets.

Together, they oversee a deliverance ministry, working to bring freedom and restoration through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Cherryl Hart (Mama Hart)

Cherryl is a devoted follower of Jesus who has experienced His faithfulness, deliverance, and love through every season. Guided by the Holy Spirit, she is passionate about helping others stand firm in their identity in Christ.

She serves in leadership and children’s ministry and joyfully opens her home for prayer and women’s ministry. With a heart for underprivileged children, Cherryl seeks to share God’s love wherever He leads.
